My Process
My process for designing a home or business is all about you.
I never repeat a scheme. Every job, every client and every build or renovation is unique and so is my approach to your interior design and home styling.
Our First Meeting
We make an appointment and I go to meet with you on site or, if it’s a new build and there’s nothing to see, we may meet somewhere else and work from plans. This can sometimes be done online, especially for the initial consultation.
What do You Want to Achieve?
I’m not one of those designers who takes a brief, goes away, spends twenty hours on it, and comes back and presents you with a complete scheme. Instead, I work with my clients every step of the way. We do it together.
I take a brief on what you like, or if that is difficult, then most clients can tell me what they don’t like. I ask questions about how you like to live, what you already have that needs to be incorporated into the scheme, and we go from there.
Importantly, I make sure any design will fit your budget and be functional and practical – in addition to looking amazing.
Working Together
We may start with flooring, for example, or the things that we have the least choice in, or will be in place for a long time before it is changed.
The amount of choice can be overwhelming, so I make it as easy as possible for you to make the right decisions for the style you want to achieve
I take you to wholesalers and trade showrooms or show you samples in your own home. As an added benefit, you’ll get a discount by purchasing through me from many suppliers.
Paint colours are often done near the end of the design process as we have thousands of those to choose from.
We work through every stage of the design process with you involved in each step. Not moving onto the next step until you’re happy.
The Result
I never lose sight of the fact that it is your home. It’s my job to make sure that whatever your style is, it works and looks great. Big or small, every job receives my full attention and benefits from my knowledge and skills.
